Mansfield Trio Lead at Pecan Valley

TLJT newcomer Kyle Middleton lead the Boys 15-18 Division after the opening round of the High School Preview at Pecan Valley GC in Fort Worth. Middleton used a staggering four under par 32 on holes #1-#9 (the players teed off in a shotgun) on the Hills Course to vault to the lead after fiishing with a one over par 73. Middleton eagled the par 5 12th hole for good measure and goes into Sunday's final round with a one stroke lead over Daniel Borg and McKenzie Mueller.

Andre Garcia leads the Boys 14 & Under Division by three after an opening round 75. Garcia rebounded from a tough start in which he bogeyed the first three holes before playing even par golf the rest of the way. Fellow Mansfield resident Will Clark currently sits in second place after shooting a 78.

Katie Grady, also of Mansfield leads the Girls division by shooting an opening round 76. Gardy's round featured a span of twelve holes that she played at one under par. Fort Worth's Chaney Uhles is just one stroke back and looks to make it up on the River Course on Sunday.
