 North leads Jackie Burke Cup 16-8 after day one
South team looking to make it four straight

BRYAN, Texas - The North team will take a commanding 16-8 lead into tomorrow’s Singles matches at the Legends Junior Tour Jackie Burke Cup. After opening up a 7-5 lead in the morning Foursome matches, the North team pulled away in the afternoon by winning four of six Four-Ball matches. They also halved one match giving them nine of a possible 12 points.

This is the fourth annual Jackie Burke Cup and the South team has won the three previous contests. But they will need to pull off an impressive comeback to retain the Cup. The North team needs only nine of a possible 24 points in tomorrow’s Singles matches to win the Cup for the first time. Each match is worth two points, with one point being awarded to each team if a match is tied after 18-holes.

The Singles matches will begin at 8:00 AM tomorrow off #1 tee with the final match scheduled to tee off at 9:17 AM.
